How can I link my Thieme account to an organization? By linking your Thieme account to your organization, you gain access to its licenses and resources. Membership is valid for 180 days and will automatically renew when you authenticate again via IP network, VPN, or Shibboleth. After expiration, you will need to repeat the activation process.
Here’s how it works if you already have a Thieme account:
Automatic:
• Organization is recognized (IP or Shibboleth).
• When registering for a Thieme account, the organization is automatically linked.
Manual:
• Organization is recognized (IP or Shibboleth).
• In your Thieme account, go to “My Organizations” and click “Activate Organization Membership.”
Invitation or Access Code:
• If your organization does not use IP or Shibboleth, an administrator can send you an invitation link or access code.
• Link: Leads to registration or linking of your existing Thieme account.
• Code: Can be redeemed in your Thieme account. For renewals, please contact the administrator.
Check organization recognition
Are you within your organization’s IP network or VPN? Or are you authenticating via Shibboleth? → If recognition is successful, the organization name will be displayed on the homepage.
Renewal:
You will receive an email 14 days before expiration.
Upon re-authentication, access will automatically extend by 180 days.
After expiration: Repeat activation or contact the administrator (for invitation/access code).
