What is CME and how can I obtain information about it?
CME (Continuing Medical Education) is the continuing education portal for Thieme’s medical journals, where physicians and healthcare professionals can systematically earn continuing education credits (CME credits), which are required to maintain their medical license in Germany.
There are two paid options:
1. Participation via a subscription: If you have subscribed to a Thieme specialist journal, one free participation per CME module of that journal is included in your subscription.
2. Participation with credits: (without a subscription or for additional modules) You can set up a credit balance and use it to unlock modules.
Free modules: Practice modules are free of charge but do not award CME points. In addition, there are free CME modules available under the section “CME with Partners.”
